Sophie Logan is a 20 years old pole dancer living in Colchester, studying management and marketing at the University of Essex, she is originally from Nottingham. She has been pole dancing since the age of 16, and started after attending a taster session with friends. Sophie is the founder and president of the University of Essex Pole dancing club, and beginning to compete in local contests.

Aviva did not take her first pole dancing class until the age of 32 she is a certified personal trainer and graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology. Her teaching started with 3 inverted pole moves and about 4 spins. Now she can do advanced level moves and holds and most of them she can do on both sides of her body as that balance has always been important.
Aviva writes about the fitness, psychological, and experiential aspects of pole. With five years of poling to draw from, teaching and improving her own skills. Aviva covers everything from losing weight to building self esteem, preparing for a performance and rehabilitating injuries.

Robbie McEwen is self-taught pole dancer, who started her pole adventure about nine years ago. An instructor as well as a part time competitor, she has two children, and a very supportive husband as well as holding the titles of 3rd place Miss North Carolina Pole Dance 2011 and Charlotte, North Carolina Miss Pole-A-Palooza 2010. Though I like the idea of competing, she says she found it very nerve racking. Robbie loves teaching pole however, and very much enjoys seeing her students gain power through the art of pole. Her blog is about anything and everything pole. From products that she trys that work, to tips on certain moves, to just thoughts about certain pole topics.

Kate Whitley is the owner of Dance Inspires pole dance school in Oxford which opened in 2006 and is also studying at Oxford Brookes University as a mature student at the ripe old age of 45. She is also the Director of the Pole Sports Benevolent Fund and the Chair of the Ethics Committee for the International Pole Sports Federation. For someone who doesn’t actually do pole dance, her life is still pole, pole, pole!
